I keep promising to post pictures of my garden, so today is everyone's lucky day [/sarcasm]
And now a song that seems appropriate: "Walking on the Sun" by Smash Mouth.

So that made me think of this song ~ Summer Nights ~ which seems appropriate as we sit around all summer waiting for either a verdict in the Lexicon case or the trailer to HBP (hopefully both!).

"The Boss," Bruce Springsteen showed up by satellite TV to play "Thunder Road," which actually wasn't that good because he slurred so many words that it was basically meaningless.
However, just before that, Russert's brother-in-law, the jazz guitarist Tony Scozzaro, played a virtuouso performance of "Born to Run" that was one of the best TV moments I've seen because it was so unexpected.
If the YouTube becomes available I'll post it. So far the sound is distorted on all of them.

A. It's Friday.
B. People were invoking this song about the James and Sirius Prequal.
C. There's a Tom Petty song for every occasion.
D.
E. Johnny Depp is in this video!
One thing we haven't talked about is the whole "rock star" aspect of the Marauders. In the Prequal they are wearing those Phoenix t-shirts and their wands are like Drumsticks. Is this a joke about Stubby Boardman? Or were the Marauders more like Spinal Tap? Please Discuss (seriously, sarcastically, or any way you like).

The last two days have been . . . well . . . let's just say I'm tired of typing.
So here's a post just for fun because unless there is major breaking news,
I may take tomorrow off from the Blog-o-sphere.

First we have "Mr. Bill Goes to Court" from Saturday Night Live.
Next: From Buffy the Vampire Slayer ~

I'm feeling a bit patriotic these days with the election and all, but it makes me sad that so many people are having bad times right now, so I was thinking about all the best things about the U.S. and New York City, and thought of a song that says it all:
Simon and Garfunkel in Central Park
And because this song is so beautiful:

Great Article Here
I can't embed his videos, but here are a few I like the most: Check it Out. Small Town, and Paper in Fire
I've been a fan since his first big hit "Jack and Diane" back in the eighties, and I love all his songs. He is a song-writers song writer, and a great American singer (not a fool at all!). My favorite line from any of his songs is "She calls me baby - she calls everybody baby." :) I have been known to call people "babe" myself, much to their alarm. I have also been known to quote that line "I fight authority, authority always wins" on Harry Potter forums, when one of my posts has been unceremoniously deleted. Probably his truest line is "Another boring romantic, that's me." Congratulations, John Cougar!

Three things happened in the world of the Beatles. The first two were clearly planned together, but the third is a weird coincidence.
It all makes me wish George Harrison and John Lennon were around to comment, so instead, I'll just post two videos under the cut. The first is "Crackerbox Palace" by George, and the first music video I ever saw. They broadcast it on Saturday Night Live when I was in high school. The second is John Lennon's "Mind Games" played as he visits Central Park.
