Nostalgia Friday ~ Great Movie Scenes

I hit the wall today and now I am officially sick of waiting for HBP. I don't want anymore previews, behind-the-scenes teasers, or interviews from David Heyman and Dan Radcliffe. I cannot wait for Tuesday night at midnight - enough already!!!!

So here are a few scenes from great movies to watch while we wait. Warning: Some of these are violent because I'm in that sort of mood. But still, these all remind me of Harry Potter.

I hear you, I'm about done with the waiting game. I just want the movie to happen! :D

Yes, I thought about posting more videos of HBP, but it would just be spoilers for the real movie. It looks like it's going to be really good, so Accio Tuesday Night!!!

Hey Ladies, how are the book sales going? I am feeling like this is the most prolonged wait for a movie imaginable. It's only a few more days to wait now, are you going to see it at the midnight release or going the first day?

I have some tickets for a midnight showing so the kids and I are going together. If my older son changes his mind about going, I'm dragging my husband along, although he will probably fall asleep at a midnight show, haha. I'll have to wake him up for the big Tower scene finale.

I changed my list of links (on the left side of this page) to make a "Recommended Books" list with the Amazon addresses to our books: mine, Lemon's, and Steve's. I figure every little bit helps.

Maybe I will go with my son. My daughter is working at the hospital this summer so a midnight show is out of the question for her. We can compare notes at 3 AM or so, LOL.

Hey, that would be alot of fun! I'll just start a thread that night for the midnight showings and we can meet back here and talk. But I'll put a spoiler warning in case other people aren't going until the next day or the weekend.

Anticipation....
I'm enjoying the build up. The books are flying out of the library and it feels a little bit like waiting for the next book. A little bit. I'm going Wednesday with my kiddies so I'll skip your spoilers til after.

My hubby and I were in a pub last night for dinner when a preview hit the tvs. A customer began lecturing loudly on how this was the last movie, there were only six books, etc. A women nicely tried to correct him and he insulted her and got louder and more obnoxious. After a few minutes, I finally delivered a Snape-worthy smack down. It ended up being pretty funny for the rest of us.

Re: Anticipation....

From reading the reviews, there are alot of people who don't know the books very well. Some reviewers are writing about Snape's big betrayal and that he's showing his true colors as an evil Death Eater. *eyeroll*

Re: Anticipation....
How in the world does anyone not know the end of this story at this point, at least anyone who is going to the movies and has internet access.

How were the reviews, BTW? I read one that seemed pretty promising.

Re: Anticipation....

Nearly every review I've seen has been positive or even glowing. So I think it's because this movie has more character-driven drama than the last one.

I'm not sure why movie reviewers are less likely to read the books. One British reviewer wrote that he purposefully didn't read the book because he wanted to judge the movie on it's own merits. That still doesn't explain how they avoided knowing the plot of the book which anyone can read on Wikipedia.
