Happy Mother's Day!

Best wishes to all the Moms on my friends list, and to all the mothers of my friends!  I hope you all have a special day.  I get caught up in alot of crazy things, but my kids keep me real, and thank God for that!

Thank you! We actually had a chocolate silk pie, which was delicious. And my youngest son bought me some dark chocolate truffles, mmmmm.

So far it's been fun - my husband got fried chicken with all the fixings from Bojangles, and we had chocolate pie. My daughter won't be home till tonight as they make their way home from Quebec, so it was just us and the boys.

My older son gave me a funny card that had a cartoon dog on the front saying:

"Hard work . . . Honesty . . . Goodness . . . Responsibility . . .
(open the card)
I think some of the things you said actually stuck."

(Then in his handwriting:"well, maybe sometimes anyway")

"Thanks and Happy Mother's Day"

("Love you, Mom ~ John")

And he gave me a balloon with flowers on it.

It was a really nice day, and I bet you had fun with your little boys!

My daughter even made it home from her trip to Canada before midnight, so I didn't miss any of them on the actual day. :)

I did have a good day. I took the boys to Red Lobster, and took a day off from my diet to have one of those foofy multicolored frozen acloholic drinks and a dessert. Nathan consented to be reasonably cooperative so long as I kept him supplied with Legos, Josh decided to impersonate a second grader most of the trip, being nice to Nathan, ordering crab legs and steamed veggies instead of chicken fingers, and thanking the waitress for her excellent service whenever she showed up. He's becoming a big boy... *sighs*
